The Harlem Hellfighters were a highly decorated all-black military battalions that served in World War I and II. The 369^th Infantry Regiment saw 191 days of continuous combat on the front line of battle during WWI. For their selfless sacrifice they received the Croix de Guerre medal from the French government, along with citations and decorations for valor. Because they wore a rattlesnake on their insignia, they were also called the Black Rattles.

These courageous men fought and died for America, they deserve to be remembered and celebrated.
